Individual Therapy

“To change one's life: Start immediately. Do it flamboyantly. No exceptions.”

— William James

Rediscover your inner compass.

If you’ve been through difficult or traumatic experiences, it can change your perspective of yourself and the world. It can disorient you, and cause you to lose your sense of who you are or how to move forward.

Incorporating years of research, training, and experience, I can provide you with tools to process your experiences and reorient you back toward a life that feels richer and more meaningful.

Reconnect with yourself.

Ever feel like you’re on a treadmill? Perpetually just being propelled forward towards the next thing? It’s hard to just slow down.

Maybe you end most days feeling drained and like you have nothing left to give. If you do have free time, you notice yourself reaching for the next distraction.

You aren’t alone.

Our work together will allow you to deepen your relationship with yourself, so you can feel more confident, achieve your goals, and start living life to the fullest.

Redefine how you spend your time.

You might feel you’ve lost connection to people, activities, or parts of yourself that matter to you. Maybe you’ve forgotten what those even are.

Together we will work to re-acquaint you with your inner strength, skills and, values.

We will work on setting concrete goals so that you can be more intentional and devote more time to the parts of your life that you care about most.

MY APPROACH

What types of treatment do I provide?

I am trained in a variety of treatment styles which allows me to blend approaches to meet your unique needs. Here are some of the ones that I use most often, and that you might find helpful:

A Word About Sex Therapy

Sex Therapy is not just for relationships, and in fact, it’s not even just about sex! I bring my experience as an AASECT-certified sex therapist to my work with individuals to form a truly whole-person approach to help clients validate, appreciate and live into their most authentic and joyful self-expression.

MY PROCESS

How do I usually work?

We’ll get started with a 15-minute phone call to talk about your hopes for therapy and give you a chance to ask any questions you may have.

Next, we'll have a few sessions where we will cover a broad range of topics, including your past and present concerns. These sessions are a chance for us to get to know each other and to crystallize goals for our work together.

After the initial sessions, we'll collaborate to create a plan that fits your unique situation. As we go along I will ask you for feedback to make sure we are staying on track and moving towards the goals you are trying to reach.

“The greatest task for any person is to find meaning in his or her own life.”
